About The Founder

Dottie Green, owner of Keilove Botanica, began her journey into natural healing after experiencing a personal health challenge. “For months, while working on a demanding radio project, I suffered from vertigo. Finally a friend suggested I see a massage therapist who also practiced energy work. In less than a month's regiment of intense energy and bodywork, I regained my balance. Amazed by the natural healing process without pharmaceutical drugs, I pursued the training needed to become a certified practitioner in the healing arts."

Ms. Green received her certification for Aromatherapy (2010) and Chakra Balancing from the Washington Institute for Natural Medicine (2011). She graduated from the Baltimore School of massage (1998) and has practiced Usui Reiki since 1996.

During the summer of 1999, Dorothy developed the aromatherapy product line, Keilove Botanica. (Pronounced KEY-LOVE, the letters K-E-I are the first three letters of her son’s name and her three grandchildren.) Keilove Botanica products are designed to benefit individuals and businesses. They are especially suited for holistic-minded business owners and health practitioners who prefer natural products over harsh synthetic products. Keilove Botanica creates an unique, skincare and hair care experience that uses aromatherapy to help transform users into their highest physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.

Prior to starting Keilove Botanica, LLC, Dorothy Green worked nearly two decades in broadcasting including: NBC, CBS, the ABC Washington News Bureau, Public Television Stations, and National Public Radio (NPR) where she won a Peabody Award as editor for the series, Wynton Marsalis: Making the Music. Ms. Green is the founding producer of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra; the Project Manager of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History's Warner Bros. Theater Project and Producer of the Warner Bros. Film Festivals. Dorothy is noted in the Marquis “Who’s Who of American Women” and “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.”

Keilove Botanica is dedicated to my late grandfather, Oliver Green and my aunt, Helen Inez Green Lloyd--my inspiration for excellence and being GREEN. DG
